Representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth today held a coordination meeting with the donor community working on issues in the area of ​​gender equality in our country, in order to inform each other about the activities of the Ministry in this region.

On the part of the State Secretary of the Ministry, Fatmir Sabriu, the Chief of the Cabinet, Flutra Kalisi and representatives of the Equal Opportunities Sector at the Ministry, the Ministry's strong commitment to the promotion of gender equality and the protection of human rights, as strategic priorities in line with the Strategy for Gender Equality and the National Action Plan 2025-2027, was confirmed.

At the meeting, the activities focused on the work of the ministry were highlighted - the preparation of the Report on the implementation of the Strategy for 2025, the evaluation of the posts and the development of the new Strategy for the period 2028-2034, the harmonization of domestic legislation with the EU directives, the development of the Gender Equality Index according to the methodology of EIGE and the analysis of the gender pay gap, the finalization of the National Strategy for the Prevention and Protection of Gender бесплатно и семејно виольность 2026–2033.

Representatives of the ministry informed that at the same time they are working on strengthening the resource center and efforts to transform it into a regional training and research center.
In the domain of human rights, the Ministry works to protect victims of human trafficking by strengthening institutional capacity and services for protection.

On the part of the representatives of the Ministry, it was emphasized that the Ministry recognizes the donor community as a key partner and is open to cooperation and joint development of sustainable solutions.
The representatives of the donor community once again confirmed their commitment to strengthening policies and measures to advance gender equality in the country and expressed their readiness for further support.
