On April 21, a working meeting was held at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting on the topic "Representation and Influence of Women in Politics and Achieving 50/50 Parity".

The purpose of the meeting was to open a discussion on the existing challenges in legislation and practice regarding the representation and influence of women in politics, as well as to consider specific proposals for improving the Electoral Code in order to achieve 50/50 parity at the local and national levels.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth, the Ministry of Justice, members of the Inter-sectoral Group for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, as well as civil society organizations working in the field of gender equality.
