The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in cooperation with the UN Women office in Skopje started conducting a series of trainings aimed at capacity building in the institutions, which are held in the Resource Center for policy making and gender responsive budgeting. The trainings were conducted by the Center for Change Management within the UN Women project "Promoting Gender Responsive Policies and Budgets: Towards Transparent, Inclusive and Accountable Governance in the Republic of Northern Macedonia" financially supported by Switzerland and Sweden.
The first training is on the topic "Basic training on gender, gender equality and the introduction of gender perspective in public policies", which was held on 30 and 31 May 2022. The purpose of the training is for the participants to gain knowledge about basic concepts of gender and gender, the basic concepts of gender equality to recognize differences in positions of power in society that are a condition for gender discrimination to be able to create strategic documents and public policies. to meet the needs of men and women equally and to advocate for the adoption and implementation of gender responsive policies.
The training is intended for administrative staff with relatively short work experience, persons who have started working in institutions in the last three years, ie participants who have not had the opportunity to get acquainted with the concepts of gender equality, and participate in policy-making processes and programs.
Representatives of all line ministries participated in the training.
