Тraining of trainers for gender responsive budgeting
A three-day training for trainers on gender responsive budgeting is currently underway at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting. The aim of the training is for participants to strengthen their capacities and skills for developing and delivering a successful gender responsive budgeting training program, through the application of interactive methods, exchange of experiences and practical work.
Expert support for more inclusive budgets
During March 2026, a total of 10 mentoring sessions on gender-responsive budgeting were held at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting, intended for central-level institutions.
Mentoring sessions were held for strategic communication of services on prevention and protection from gender-based violence against women and domestic violence.
The Ministry of Social Policies, Demography and Youth, with the support of UNFPA and the Embassy of the United Kingdom, has worked with a serious approach in recent years on the prevention and protection from gender-based violence against women and domestic violence. In addition to working on strategic documents, legal and sub-legal acts, work was also done on raising public awareness in accordance with the Strategic Plan for the Communication of Services on Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence, which the Ministry leads and implements through campaigns on this topic. As part of the project activities with partners, there are also mentoring sessions for strategic communication of services for the prevention and protection from gender-based violence against women and domestic violence. So far, six mentoring sessions have been held, with the possibility of additional sessions, in accordance with needs. Considering that many ministries are involved in the field of gender-based violence against women and domestic violence, as well as the importance of a multi-sectoral approach, the final sessions are organized with the participation of persons working in public relations from the relevant ministries - for internal affairs, justice, health and education.
Coordination meeting held between representatives of the ministry and the donor community
Representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth held a coordination meeting today with the donor community working on issues in the area of gender equality in our country, with the aim of informing each other about the ministry's activities in this area.
Those of discrimination, recognition of discrimination and racial discrimination
The Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth conducted two one-day trainings on 29.12 and 30.12.2025, at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policies and Budgeting. The trainings were intended for experts from the Inter-Municipal Center for Social Work of the City of Skopje and representatives from the expert services of kindergartens in Skopje. The aim of the training is to recognize discrimination, to react and to encourage equality and inclusiveness in society. The training is supported by the Council of Europe, through the program for combating hatred and intolerance of the Horizontal Instrument Western Balkans and Turkey.
Basic training on gender responsive budgeting
On December 24, 2025, at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policy Making and Budgeting, a Basic Training on Gender Responsive Budgeting was successfully held.
