The Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation - GIZ organized a summer school that took place from 25 to 28 August at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting.
The summer school was organized in a four-day agenda, through theoretical presentations, practical exercises and case studies, and united young people from the region: Serbia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and North Macedonia - employees in the administration. The participants were introduced to the basic principles of gender equality, a strategic approach to the gender perspective in public policies, gender analyses and statistics and gender-responsive budgeting.
Also, during the summer school, the participants were involved in active discussions and presentations, a visit to the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Old Bazaar, through which they deepened their knowledge of gender equality and the benefits of integrating the gender perspective in policies and public budgets.
