Meeting of the Working Group for the Preparation of Standards for the Establishment of a Center for Daily and Temporary Reception of Victims of Human Trafficking

On May 15, 2026, at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting, a meeting of the Working Group for the Preparation of Standards for the Establishment of a Center for Daily and Temporary Reception of Victims of Human Trafficking was held. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a citizens' association and experts. The meeting discussed the draft procedures and procedures for referral and placement, and also reviewed the principles for the treatment of victims of trafficking that will be part of the document.

Implementation of the revised Standard Operating Procedures for victims of human trafficking

A meeting dedicated to the "Implementation of the revised Standard Operating Procedures for Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings" organized on behalf of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, and supported by the European Union regional project, EU Support for Strengthening the Fight against Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans (EU4FAST). The aim of this meeting is to provide support for the further implementation of the SOP for victims of trafficking in human beings, and to enable a review of the progress achieved in the implementation of the revised SOP in the previous period, as well as an exchange of experiences and opinions by stakeholders from relevant institutions involved in the multidisciplinary identification and referral of victims.

Promotion of Gender GAP Analysis in Public Finance Management

Public finance is one of the three areas included in the North Macedonia’s “fundamentals first” principle in the EU integration process, which also includes reforming public administration and economic governance. Under the thematic priority for good governance, the objective is to “strengthen the public finance system, promoting transparency, accountability, fiscal discipline and efficiency in the collection, management and use of public resources.  Gender mainstreaming in public financial management refers to integration of gender perspective throughout the budget cycle – gender budgeting.
