On May 20, 2026, the fifth session of the Interdepartmental Consultative and Advisory Group on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men was held at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policies and Budgeting.
During the session, a representative from the National Federation of Farmers presented the results of the research to resolve the status of registered female farmers in the area of maternity leave. The presentation opened a significant discussion on the need to improve legal and institutional solutions in order to provide greater social protection and equal opportunities for women in agriculture.
Information about the initial meeting of the "50:50" initiative, aimed at promoting gender equality and encouraging equal participation of women and men in decision-making processes, was also presented at the session.
The members exchanged opinions and proposals for further activities and measures that will contribute to more efficient implementation of equal opportunities policies and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation in this area.
