On October 14 and 15, 2026, a two-day training on the topic of "Gender-Responsive Budgeting" was held at the Resource Center for Gender-Responsive Policy-Making and Budgeting, within the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography, and Youth. The training focused on enhancing knowledge and strengthening capacities for the application of gender-responsive budgeting—a key tool for integrating a gender perspective into the processes of budget planning, preparation, and implementation. Representatives from local self-government units participated in the training, gaining the opportunity to improve their knowledge and practical skills for applying gender-responsive budgeting in their work at the local level.

On September 21 and 22, 2026, a two-day training course titled "Basic Training on Gender, Gender Equality, and Mainstreaming the Gender Perspective into Public Policies" was held at the Resource Center for Gender-Responsive Policy-Making and Budgeting within the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography, and Youth.
Basic training on gender analysis
During the two-day training, participants were introduced to the fundamental concepts and tools of gender analysis, the importance of gender-disaggregated statistical data, and their application in policy-making processes. Special attention was paid to gender-sensitive sectoral policies, intersectionality, and identifying the distinct needs, opportunities, and barriers faced by women and men.
Mentoring sessions to support institutions in the process of gender responsive budgeting
At the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting, over the past two weeks, mentoring sessions on gender responsive budgeting were held with representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Labor, the Agency for Administration and the State Statistical Office. The mentoring sessions were aimed at providing expert support and expert consultations for administrative officials, in order to strengthen their capacities for the effective application of gender responsive budgeting tools, in accordance with the Rulebook on the form and content of the gender responsive budget statement and the Guidelines for its completion. The mentoring sessions were conducted by the Equal Opportunities Sector – Department for Gender Responsive Policies and Gender Responsive Budgeting.
