The Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation - GIZ organized a summer school that took place from 25 to 28 August at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting.
On the second day of the summer school, the participants presented on the policies and mechanisms for gender equality in their countries, as well as the challenges they face in their implementation.
The Minister of Social Policy, Demography and Youth, Fatmir Limani, today welcomed the young people - participants of the Summer School for Gender Equality, which is being held from 25 to 28 August at the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting. The Summer School for Gender Equality brings together young people up to 35 years of age from the region - employed in administration and aims to strengthen knowledge about gender equality and for young people to understand the benefits of integrating the gender perspective into policies and public budgets. It is being implemented in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation - GIZ.
Meeting of the second group of mentors and mentees The main goal was to empower women by establishing mentoring relationships between experienced professionals (mentors) and women at the beginning of their careers (mentees), with a focus on personal growth, building confidence, professional development and mutual encouragement, leadership skills and access to opportunities.
A presentation of the "Report on Intersectional and Multiple Discrimination against Roma Women and Girls in Access to Justice" was held at the resource center.
The Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policy and Budgeting held 13 mentoring sessions on gender responsive budgeting for central-level institutions during May and June 2025.
